Live Nation’s Backstage Experience Coordinator (BEC) will report directly to the venue Production Manager and is responsible for administering Live Nation and venue‑designed programs that support local production and touring personnel. The BEC will maintain back‑of‑house hospitality standards, ensure artist commitments are met or exceeded, and act as the frontline hospitality liaison for touring personnel backstage. This part‑time, hourly position is scheduled for up to 40 hours per week (and more during peak season).
Responsibilities
Administer Live Nation and venue‑designed programs in partnership with the venue Production team.
Maintain hospitality expectations and backstage division‑wide goals.
Meet and greet touring parties upon arrival, assign dressing rooms, and serve as the point of contact for all hospitality needs.
Wash, dry, and fold laundry and towels; periodically inspect dressing rooms for tidiness.
Coordinate with backstage catering to meet artists' rider requirements and exceed culinary expectations.
Participate in the venue’s sustainability program, including sort and recycle waste and educate crews about environmental efforts.
Represent backstage as a brand ambassador and embody the service culture program.
Complete post‑event service recaps and analyze venue service reports to create action plans for improvements.
Research best practices and collaborate with the Artist Services team to develop opportunities that increase engagement and satisfaction.
Assist Production Managers and Catering teams in facilitating advances.
Walk‑through the venue pre‑ and post‑show with a checklist, noting any damage and coordinating repairs.
Oversee dressing room and bus stock, and coordinate after‑show meals.
Co‑manage back‑stage program budget and process vendor invoices in coordination with General and Production Managers.
Track and share metrics with the Artist Services Team, maintain historic tour data, and manage the backstage tour personnel survey.
Create memorable hospitality moments at every show, including birthdays and special celebrations.
When required, execute production runs for the tour on select shows.
Qualifications
Maintain composure around high‑profile artists/guests in a hectic, loud environment.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
Proficient computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Positive outlook, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage others.
Strong problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to find creative solutions.
1+ year of backstage/production/hospitality experience.
2–3 years of comparable role experience.
1–2 years of leadership experience.
Natural interest in helping others and a heart for service.
Constant physical activity required: walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying equipment.
Can lift 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Business, Human Resources, or comparable preferred.
Public speaking or meeting facilitation skills a plus.
