Videographer/Editor/Director/Screenwriter
We are a popular family‑friendly entertainment media outlet and web series aimed towards children ages 3‑10. As an up‑and‑coming start‑up with a growing audience, we are seeking a student videographer/editor/screenwriter to create 1‑3 minute comedic, educational skits for kids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce fast‑turnaround, professional‑quality video for YouTube aesthetics.
- Maintain excellent pace and timing in editing.
- Use special effects, music, animation and green‑screen techniques.
- Create production schedules, storyboards and cue cards.
- Organize props for each skit.
- Write and storyboard comedic skits, generating creative ideas.
- Edit written skits and transcribe from YouTube to final draft.
- Show strong comedic writing and timing.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Final Cut Pro or other professional video editors.
Requirements:
- Fast turnaround and professionalism in editing.
- Familiarity with special effects, music, animation and green screen usage.
- Ability to create production schedules, storyboards, and cue cards.
- Strong comedic timing and writing skills.
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro or equivalent software.
- Experience in comedic entertainment production is a plus.
- Must have access to a good quality digital camera.
- Located in the New York City area (Manhattan).
- Student status preferred.
Compensation: Paid internship, $10 per hour.
