About the Position

of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. provides over 2,500 youth and adults with job training, educational, and career services each year. An additional 1,500 persons receive referral and job placement assistance through an extensive network of employers and community organizations. Partnered with the City of Los Angeles Youth Source System and the American Job Center of California (AJCC) in three locations, AYE is one of the largest AJCCs.

The Program Coordinator will assume primary responsibility for ensuring that program activities align with the program’s objectives, strategic plan, and goals, including providing case management to participants and finding employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations, including direct services, administration, and record keeping.

Prepare monthly program reports and statistics.

Provide case management to assigned caseload.

Meet monthly performance goals.

Provide employment opportunities for participants, identify barriers, and develop strategies to accomplish goals.

Represent program at various agency and community meetings.

Clarify and implement policies for staff.

Review individual Service Strategies for each client and provide career and vocational counseling designed to promote long-term employability.

Evaluate and monitor training site compliance with Employment and Training agreement and applicable Federal, State, and local government sponsor laws, regulations, and requirements on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

One to three years of related experience.

Experience with workforce development preferred.

Experience with developing vocational skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

This position works out of the Central Los Angeles office located at 3250 Wilshire Blvd. L.A., CA. 90010.

The location is in Compton, CA.
