Responsibilities
Lead communication planning and execution for key initiatives.
Collaborate with executive, senior, and functional leaders to create, manage, and implement communication plans that engage audiences and support business strategies.
Coach teammates, internal clients, and subject‑matter experts in communication and engagement best practices.
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar mapping communications projects, initiatives, and recurring themes.
Identify communication gaps, craft concise messages, and select appropriate vehicles to support initiatives.
Design and execute strategic communication projects with stakeholders and executives to promote cross‑functional initiatives.
Oversee design, development, and production of user‑friendly communications and job aids for complex programs.
Counsel leadership on opportunities to improve engagement, performance, cohesion, and culture.
Track and measure effectiveness of communication strategies using available tools.
Develop and execute public relations strategies, maintain media relationships, and manage crisis communication planning and response.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field and 5–7 years of marketing, communications, employee engagement, or organizational development experience. Demonstrated creative writing skills and strategic thinking are essential. Experience working with multiple levels of business leaders and handling sensitive information is required. Previous manager‑level experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Superior creative writing, editing, and proofreading skills; AP style proficiency.
Ability to synthesize multiple perspectives into clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences.
Excellent relationship‑building and interpersonal communication skills.
Customer service attitude and commitment to supporting company culture and mission.
Self‑directed, prioritizes multiple projects, and meets deadlines under pressure.
Analytical thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues appropriately.
Competent understanding of graphic design best practices and marketing concepts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Adobe Creative tools (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) helpful.
Experience designing surveys and conducting focus groups helpful.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
Talking or hearing, lifting up to 25 lbs.
Vision required.
Requires interaction with co‑workers, residents or vendors.
Occasional weekend, evening, or night work; on‑call as needed.
Requires occasional travel.
