TAXI DISPTACHER
Salary Range: $20.00 To $20.30 Hourly

Job Description – Taxi Dispatcher

Maintain an orderly flow of passengers and taxicabs and oversee the movement and expeditious loading of Taxis.

Prevent soliciting of customers.

Maintain an orderly taxi line ensuring that all drivers are at the taxi stand line remain within the immediate proximity to their vehicles.

Advise customers of rules and regulations pertinent to the trip including the correct fare and meter rates to their destination.

Cooperate with Port Authority Police, Airport and/or PABT Supervisors and taxi commission agents in connections with the performance of the dispatcher duties provided herein.

Be familiar with, adhere to and enforce Taxi and Limousine commission rules and regulations.

When required issue Taxi Dispatcher program violation form against taxi drivers for violation of Taxi and Limousine commission rules and regulations.

Gather incident information, documents, prepare and review reports as needed. Submit tour reports as required.

Standing and walking up to 8 hours a day.

Perform any other related responsibilities or duties as required by the contractor by the facility manager or his/her designee.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must have flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma, or a general equivalence diploma.
