Mental Health Manager (Sheridan County Manager) – Sheridan, WY

Responsibilities

Oversee mental health, substance abuse, and psychosocial rehabilitation programs in Sheridan, WY, ensuring community-based services are provided when clinically indicated.

Demonstrate dependability, adaptability, and initiative, adapting to clinical, programmatic, and administrative needs.

Proactively manage and administer behavioral health programs that align with agency goals and objectives.

Provide the highest quality services to clients in Sheridan County offices.

Provide part‑time direct service to clients via individual and/or group therapy based on agency’s clinical needs.

Provide regular clinical supervision focused on coaching for supervisee growth and development of clinical competency skills.

Provide regular administrative supervision focused on performance goals and support to manage caseloads and meet agency expectations.

Manage agency performance priorities for supervisees.

Utilize best practices for clinical supervision and coaching for performance.

Attend to crisis and safety needs of clients as requested by staff.

Assist other clinical staff with crisis or client safety situations using solid clinical judgment and risk formulation.

Participate in regular quality assurance activities including a chart review committee and ensure follow‑through with staff conducting reviews and making corrections.

Qualifications and Skills

Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, etc.).

Minimum 2 years of clinical supervisory experience.

5+ years of experience providing mental health and substance abuse services.

Licensed in WY or able to obtain licensure in WY as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT).

Proficient in basic computer programs and willing to learn electronic record system applications.

Hours generally are from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
