Investment Banking Communications, Media and Entertainment Analyst
The role will support the Investment Banking Communications, Media and Entertainment (CME) team at RBC.
What will you do?
Developing financial models, pitch book materials and conducting company research, and analyzing data to help advise our current or prospective corporate clients on actual or prospective mergers & acquisition transactions and corporate finance offerings
Transaction execution, new business presentations and meetings, market research and developing sector-based knowledge on current trends
Working with and training Analysts in development of pitch books and related client materials
Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to group business activities
Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks to group line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis
What is needed for success?
Bachelor's degree in related field with at least four years experience in Investment Banking and / or MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in business, finance/accounting or economics with a least 1 year of experience in Investment Banking
Previous experience in the CME or relevant sector is a plus
Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling
Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting
Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong teaming skills
Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of organization
Must maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct
Series 79 & 63 licensed

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $175,000 - $225,000 depending on class year and factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
