TerSera Therapeutics is a small, privately held specialty pharmaceutical company with an aggressive growth history in the pharmaceutical sector. Our continued growth has created an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Associate Director, Scientific Communications in our corporate office in Deerfield, IL.

Summary of Position
The Associate Director, Scientific Communications reports to the Senior Director, Scientific Communications. This position will be responsible for supporting the department in developing, managing, and disseminating core scientific data associated with TerSera Therapeutics products in North America. This position will be accountable for key activities related to Medical Information, CMLR Medical review, Publications, Medical Affairs training, resource development, and support of other Medical Affairs activities as needed. This is a home office position, based in the TerSera headquarters in Deerfield, IL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for development of standard and custom response letters for TerSera Therapeutics products

Responsible for timely updates to existing standard response letters when new data is published

Contributes to monthly Literature Surveillance & Competitive Intelligence Newsletter

Oversees vendors in development of AMCP product dossiers

Supports department in the development and execution of publications for TerSera products

Serves as a Medical Affairs reviewer in the CMLR (Commercial, Medical, Legal, Review) Committee

Develops resources for the Medical Affairs organization on TerSera products and disease states, including but not limited to:

Medical Affairs training resources

Field Medical (MSL and CNE) slide decks for external use

Medical Affairs vendor training resources

Conducts literature reviews and data analysis for TerSera leadership on an as‑needed basis

Qualifications

PharmD preferred, but may consider RPh, RN/NP, MD/DO, or PhD based on skills and experience

At least one year of pharmaceutical industry experience

Experience working within Medical Affairs (MSL teams, CNE teams, Publications, Call Centers, etc.) and cross‑functional business partners (Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, CMLR Committee, etc.)

Clinical and/or research experience working in oncology, pain and inflammation, and/or allergy therapeutic areas preferred

Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication skills with ability to work in a high‑paced, timeline‑driven corporate office setting

Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate complex scientific data

Demonstrated ability and capacity to network and work well cross functionally

Proven track record of teamwork, leadership, timely decision making and results‑orientation in meeting key business objectives
