Key responsibilities
Managing and supporting reporters through editorial brainstorming and execution
Owning the company's vision and communicating it clearly to teams
Editing stories and newsletters while experimenting with AI to enhance productivity
Required qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced newsroom, with a preference for those who have edited daily newsletters
Deep familiarity with the greater Phoenix area and its local topics
Strong story framing skills and the ability to coach reporters effectively
Confidence in a remote-first work environment
Experience managing reporters at varying levels of seniority
