What You Will Be Doing
As the Radio Operations Engineer - Level 4 you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management, programming, maintenance, and repair of PLMR P‑25 radio systems and flight‑operations air‑band radios at the Palmdale facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

Program, configure, and maintain hand‑held, mobile, and base P‑25 radios, interfacing with the vendor for support and repair.

Maintain and repair flight‑operations air‑band radios (fixed, remote, and mobile stations) to ensure uninterrupted flight and ground operations.

Install PLMR P‑25 radio systems in company vehicles and provide 24/7 emergency‑service availability.

Perform acceptance testing on flight hardware following LockheedMartin test procedures.

Utilize RF test equipment (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, signal simulators) to troubleshoot and validate radio performance.

Basic Qualifications

Experience reading schematic diagrams, electronic assembly drawings, engineering change orders, test procedures and rework documents as required.

Familiarity with basic Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and multi‑channel (MUX) transmission mediums such as VIASAT, STARLINK and Cambium Microwave Radio Frequency (RF) systems.

Experience with commercial versions: Bear Com; Day Wireless/Motorola; MCA mobile communications of America.

Familiarity with recording servers and Call Managers that record Telephonic and RF transmissions of both the Motorola LMR and VOIP telephone systems.

Familiarity with Data Networking fundamentals to include managing, monitoring, configuring and troubleshooting data networks to include Cisco, Aruba routers and switches utilized on the Motorola network and applying certificate updates and software upgrades of peripheral equipment as required.

Desired Skills

Experience performing routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) task and inspection on all associated Radio Operations electronic equipment.

Experience testing and troubleshooting RF, Digital and/or analog assemblies.

Experience with installation and maintenance of antennas and associated equipment on antenna towers in support of multiple radio frequency networks.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio etc.) and Windows operating systems is desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time - The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
