Overview and Summary

Associate Director (AD), Scientific Communications (Medical Excellence, Global Medical Affairs). Develop and implement scientific communication strategy, manage scientific communication plans for assigned products/therapeutic areas, and oversee scientific messaging for marketed and clinical products.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and ensure timely execution of scientific communication plans for Fabry disease and Pompe disease.
Develop and implement scientific messaging; maintain Scientific Communication Platforms.
Ensure cross‑functional alignment of messaging and strategies to address gaps.
Develop product- and disease‑specific literature expertise; conduct literature and gap analyses to support messaging and publication strategy.
Organize and implement expert meetings for publication strategy development (collaborate with experts, manage vendors, attend/present as needed).
Facilitate external/independent development of treatment and management guidelines.
Research, draft, and edit scientific/medical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
Manage agency/contract medical writers and/or graphic designers as needed.
Ensure outputs meet medical/scientific integrity standards and adhere to ICMJE and GPP 2022 authorship/publication guidelines.
Support maintenance and reconciliation activities in the publication development database.
Respond to internal/external questions; share planning status in cross‑functional meetings.
Support Scientific Communications budget management.
Education & Experience

MS or higher in life or health sciences (required).
7+ years relevant experience in scientific communications, publication planning, and/or medical writing (required).
2+ years managing direct reports (preferred).
