Job Overview

Position: Administrative Assistant 3 – Advancement Communications, Marketing & Engagement (ACME) at the University of Nevada, Reno.
This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.
The role provides comprehensive administrative, financial, data, and logistical support to the ACME team, ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate reporting, and effective coordination of projects, meetings, events, and communications so the team can focus on strategic advancement priorities.
Responsibilities

Process invoices and reconcile purchasing card transactions.
Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with university policies, supporting overall budget management.
Schedule and coordinate meetings.
Support and organize event planning and ensure execution of events.
Essential Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations, including explaining detailed policies, regulations, and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims, and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
OR one (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. – 5:30p.m.; subject to change based on organizational needs.
Compensation

Grade: 27; salary determined by the Nevada Administrative Code and based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, and budgets.
