We are looking for people who have experience in teaching/mentoring students in coding and/or virtual reality. Applicants should be able to create a fun camp experience for youth full of designing, interacting, inventing, communicating, and problem solving, while gaining valuable teamwork skills and potential interest in a future career in STEAM.

About STEAM Inventors
STEAM Inventors is a pre-school and afterschool STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Educational Service for students from Pre-K to K-12 trying to bridge the gap between current classroom and technology progression. We offer two distinct programs in STEAM Educational space. One is via a franchise ownership of Nutty Scientists that teaches children science through drama-based shows and the joy of experiments in a safe laboratory. We also operate in a physical facility offering an immersive learning environment for the students to play, learn, connect, and innovate with emerging technologies such as AR/VR, robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity to name a few. Two offerings together will boost the interest of the children and the community. Clear communication will be a fundamental skill for the 21st century job market. Our goal is to prepare the children for 21st century learning skills. Nutty Scientists shows can also be performed in events such as birthday parties, corporate events etc. We will arrange Nutty Scientists entertainment events for corporate, private parties, educational awareness programs.

Steam Inventors also operates in a physical facility offering an immersive learning environment for the students to play, learn, connect, and innovate with emerging technologies such as drones, AR/VR, robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity to name a few. Two offerings together will boost the interest of the children and the community. Clear communication will be a fundamental skill for the 21st century job market, and the A in STEAM (art as communication) will be part of our curriculum. Our program will encourage them to participate in different worldwide innovation and STEM competitions to showcase and communicate their outcomes effectively.

Position Description –
You are talented, passionate, and want to share your technology skills with the next generation of innovators. You will do more than teaching. You will be a role model, demonstrating that fun, collaboration, and work go hand in hand. You will mentor students aged 6–18 in a fun, dynamic learning environment. Each week, you will lead a class of students in a subject like robotics, game design, programming, 3D printing or AR/VR. You will inspire and be a role model to the next blockbuster game designer, help lead somebody who advances in cybersecurity, or guide the person who solves a real life problem using technology.

Qualifications

Passionate about working with children and teens.

Has a positive attitude and sense of humor.

Qualified applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following areas:

Programming in Java, Python, or C++.

Robotics building and programming.

Mobile App Development for iPhone, iPad & Android.

Web Design and Digital Photography.

2D or 3D Video Game Design.

Cyber Security or Cryptography.

Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.

Preferred Qualities

Teaching or tutoring experience.

Ideal candidates have completed 2+ years of college in a related field of study.
