Job Overview
KWCH 12 News is seeking a part‑time digital content anchor/producer for its web and social media platforms. The position is responsible for writing, producing and updating content, managing station social media accounts and streaming platforms, and anchoring breaking news/live events on television and digital products.

Responsibilities

Create content (copy, video, graphics and pictures) for all digital platforms.

Publish and share new content in a timely manner.

Send alerts on breaking news and other timely news content.

Approve content created by other newsroom staff, checking spelling, grammar and web optimization.

Strategize content delivery with the digital team to optimize growth on Facebook, YouTube, X and Instagram.

Produce and anchor reports from the Breaking News Desk, both on‑air and digital, including breaking news, live events and daily scheduled updates.

Fill in as a newscast producer as needed.

Work afternoon/evening shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field (preferred).

Basic experience with newsroom computer systems such as ENPS or Arc (preferred).

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of AP Style for digital platforms and broadcast writing.

Solid news judgment and ability to multitask.

Calm under pressure.

Social‑media and tech‑savvy with a willingness to learn and appear on camera.

Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility for varied schedules.

Newsroom experience desired; training will be provided.
