News Reporter

WBOC TV (Salisbury, MD) is looking to hire a full-time news reporter for our ratings dominant, award winning news operation in Salisbury, Maryland. Strong writing and communications skills are a must. Our reporters interview sources, write copy and deliver stories for TV, our website/mobile app and our social media outlets. We aggressively cover community-oriented stories of broad appeal across Delmarva. The right candidate must also display a strong ability to communicate with sources, enterprise stories and report community issues.

Responsibilities

Interview sources

Write copy and deliver stories for TV, website/mobile app, and social media outlets

Cover community-oriented stories across Delmarva

Communicate with sources, enterprise stories and report community issues

Work under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate with a team

Shoot video and edit using Adobe Premiere Pro (a plus)

Qualifications

Full-time availability

Strong writing and communications skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Team player

Experience with video shooting and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro software (preferred)

Position Information
Title: News Reporter

Status: Full-Time Salary

Pay Range: $43,000 to $48,000/Annually

Other Compensation: Comp Time
