I work for a UK company called Blackrook Media which will be providing an online TV channel for delegates at the international banking conference SIBOS 26 which is taking place in Miami at the end of September.
The channel’s content is a mix of streamed conference sessions and interviews with delegates and industry figures. These interviews are conducted by our two experienced presenters on a multi-camera TV studio set. I’ve attached an example from last year’s event. ( )
I am looking for people based in the Florida area who might be interested in being considered for the role of Showcaller / Multi-Camera Director
You would need to be available between Saturday September 26th and Thursday October 2nd inclusive at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.
You will be working in a production gallery alongside a Programme Producer, a Vision Mixer, a Graphics Operator, a Sound Operator and a Teleprompt Operator. On the studio floor you will have Camera Operators, a Floor Manager and a Programme Assistant.
As Showcaller, you will be the “team leader” for all of the studio operational staff and working in partnership with the Programme Producer for all running order issues.
Blackrook Media has provided this TV channel for this conference for more than 10 years, so we’ve got a lot of experience in how to do it and will be able to offer a lot of information in advance and support during the event if needed.
At this stage, however, we simply need to know a couple of things …
1) Are you available on those dates and could you be in Miami?
2) Does the job sound interesting to you?
3) Do you believe you have the skillset / experience to take on this role.
4) Can you give us a rough indication of your expected daily rate of pay? It is not in anyone’s interest to devote lots of time to discussions if we don’t believe we will be able to reach agreement on the money.
