Motion Designer

Joining a dynamic design team, the full-time Motion Designer will create and animate graphics for video programming and social media, collaborating closely with editorial and video teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities

Design and animate graphics for daily and weekly video programming, including show packages and transitions
Animate assets for social platforms, translating complex market information into engaging short-form content
Collaborate with the Creative Director and fellow designers on larger creative initiatives, advocating for quality and consistency in motion design

Required qualifications

A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics work in a video, broadcast, or editorial context
Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with strong working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
Solid grasp of design fundamentals including typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
Experience building motion templates and working within established brand systems
Comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment, managing multiple projects against tight deadlines
