Job Summary/Description
WAND News in Decatur, IL, has an immediate opening for a Digital Content Producer. Help deliver high-quality journalism and storytelling to a variety of digital platforms. You must be a strong, independent worker, creative, motivated, and have mastery of proper grammar and spelling.

Duties/Responsibilities

Work quickly and efficiently to post news content to digital platforms

Create vertical videos and other content

Manage social media accounts

Clip and assign newscast content

Answer phones and emails from viewers

Write engaging headlines and social media summaries

Write and update web stories

Send breaking news, weather, and live stream alerts

Assist the newsroom in breaking news and content gathering

Qualifications/Requirements

Strong writing skills and knowledge of AP Style

Excellent news and storytelling judgmentWeb publishing experience

Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

1-year of newsroom experience or creating digital content in written and video form
