Provides administrative support for the USDA -funded Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Project for Idaho (I‑AMP Idaho), a major University of Idaho research initiative involving multiple funded and supporting partners. Independently performs complex administrative duties requiring professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality under the general direction of the Extension Project Director. Supports project coordination, communications, and administrative operations to advance project goals and deliverables.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing day‑to‑day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Responsibilities
Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
Facilitating communication between program participants and managerial staff
Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
Maintaining program calendars and schedules
May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other
Ability to travel periodically for IAMP events, trainings, and meetings
Additional Preferred
Master’s degree or other advanced degree in agriculture, natural resources, rural development, marketing, or a closely related field.
Experience working within a land‑grant university Extension system and supporting project leadership as part of a collaborative team.
Experience coordinating or managing inter‑institutional and interdisciplinary projects.
Experience with production agriculture, agricultural businesses, or agricultural supply chains.
Experience developing, designing, or formatting print and electronic communications, outreach, or promotional materials.
