Position Summary
The Internal Communications Coordinator supports the execution of the firm’s internal communications through exceptional writing, editing, organization, attention to detail, and project management skills. This role is responsible for developing, producing, formatting, and delivering high‑quality internal communications accurately and on time across firm‑wide channels.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Project Management Manage day‑to‑day execution of internal communications workflows.
Maintain editorial calendars, production/approval timelines, and distribution schedules across multiple channels.
Coordinate inputs, reviews, and approvals with internal stakeholders and track progress to completion.
Oversee and maintain team project plans and tracking tools.
Support firm‑wide campaigns and special projects by managing timelines, logistics, and follow‑through.
Content Development Draft, edit, proofread, and format internal communications across firm‑wide channels, including the weekly internal newsletter and the firm’s intranet.
Transform complex or technical information into clear, engaging, and audience‑appropriate communications.
Ensure content is accurate, clear, well‑structured, visually polished, and aligned with brand and editorial standards.
Create basic graphics and visual elements for internal communications using approved tools, templates, and brand guidelines.
Content Operations and Reporting Manage weekly aggregation of deal announcements, matter wins, and new hires for inclusion in the internal newsletter.
Publish and update content within Eloqua, the intranet, and digital signage platforms.
Coordinate production and distribution of recurring leadership presentation decks, including gathering inputs, managing data requests, and ensuring timely delivery.
Track and report engagement metrics for internal communications channels.
Job Specifications Education : Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience : 1–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, editorial, or a related field. Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an understanding of audience and message clarity.
Strong understanding of brand application, tone, and visual presentation.
Eye for layout, formatting, and content flow.
Comfort creating basic graphics using approved tools and templates.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with intranet platforms, content management systems, or email distribution tools preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation and Benefits Full‑time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Target hiring range: $72,000 – $99,000. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
Physical Demands and Work Environment The employee is required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, talk, and hear; may occasionally lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Typical indoor office environment.
