Position Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and plans to achieve the financial and market share objectives of the sub‑brand. The role leads sub‑category and brand strategy, product activations, promotional events, media, and pricing initiatives, ensuring margin improvement and simplification within the sub‑brand.
Responsibilities
Develop growth strategies targeted to pet parents and veterinarians by sub‑brand, species, product form, and condition.
Drive product superiority by identifying, substantiating, and activating differentiated claims through integrated marketing communications.
Identify issues and opportunities, and propose action plans to achieve brand objectives.
Utilize consumer and shopper insights of the category, market, and segments.
Define global pricing and portfolio strategies and conduct competitive benchmarking.
Secure senior management alignment to brand strategies and go‑to‑market plans.
Develop omni‑channel marketing, communication, and media strategies using insights and analytics to drive share growth.
Lead strategic brand campaigns, overseeing development and global rollout of equity campaigns.
Analyze sales, competitive, and category data to derive key insights for measurable marketing plans.
Lead global portfolio optimization aligned with regional needs.
Manage brand advertising and promotion (A&P) budgets.
Monitor and analyze brand sales, volume, market share, and competitive insights.
Support long‑lead planning, budget review, and mid‑year review.
Collaborate across functions including Insights, Innovation, Digital, Data & Analytics, Veterinary Affairs, Customer Development, Supply Chain, Legal/Regulatory, Science & Technology, and Corporate Communications.
Manage large cross‑functional teams to lead commercialization efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years of experience in CPG marketing, retail marketing, or agency experience.
Brand marketing knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA.
At least 2 years of marketing experience in Animal or Human Healthcare.
Knowledge of retail environment strategy.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to uncover measurable insights in large datasets.
Ability to achieve operational results.
Influence independently, negotiate effectively, and build relationships with cross‑functional team members.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $124,000.00 – $155,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing, and long‑term incentives for executive‑level roles.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours), 13 paid holidays, and paid sick leave in accordance with local laws.
