OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Multiplatform News Producer (Regular Full‑Time) – WTTG/WDCA — FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus
We are looking for an experienced, creative, and forward‑thinking Senior Multiplatform News Producer to help lead one of the nation’s most respected local newsrooms. In this role you will help drive editorial strategy and lead compelling storytelling across linear television, streaming, digital, social media, and connected TV while mentoring the next generation of producers.

You combine strong editorial judgment with exceptional producing skills and understand how stories should be crafted for linear television, streaming, digital, social media, and connected TV.
You will lead daily editorial execution, mentor developing producers, collaborate across newsroom teams, and help shape coverage that informs, engages, and grows our audience across every platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Set the editorial standard by owning editorial decisions for assigned programs.
Guide story selection, framing headlines, SEO, and audience strategy.
Coach and develop producers, fostering a culture of speed, accuracy, accountability, and continuous growth.
Work closely with executive producers, anchors, reporters, and control room staff.
Lead real‑time coverage of breaking news, major events, and severe weather across every platform.
Synthesize data and help drive audience growth using audience, search, engagement, and platform data.
Coordinate across the operation with newsroom leaders, assignment editors, field crews, regional digital teams, and other affiliates.
Build AI workflows by implementing AI‑powered tools and processes that improve efficiency and create capacity for impactful journalism.
Champion the FOX LOCAL experience by shaping and optimizing content for FOX LOCAL to improve engagement and strengthen loyalty.
Spot next trends by staying ahead of emerging platforms, audience trends, and storytelling formats to keep FOX 5 at the forefront of digital innovation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Speed & accuracy: Proven ability to move quickly on decision‑making and content creation without sacrificing quality or editorial judgment.
Proactive communicator: Clear, proactive communicator who can coordinate effectively across teams during high‑pressure situations.
Editorial judgment: Strong news instincts with a commitment to journalistic integrity and mastery of AP style.
Multiplatform expertise: Experience producing and publishing content across linear television, streaming, digital, social media, and connected TV.
Multitasking mastery: Comfortable managing the real‑time production of multiple stories and platform priorities simultaneously.
Technical agility: Proficiency in content management systems, live streaming, vertical video editing, and basic photo editing.
Team‑oriented mindset: Reliable, collaborative, and solutions‑focused – someone the newsroom can depend on as a go‑to contact.
Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (preferred). Minimum five (5) years of experience producing news content. Experience in a medium‑to‑large market newsroom (preferred).
