Position Overview
The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) seeks a dynamic and creative full‑time Digital Content Producer to join its Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the role involves end‑to‑end creation of engaging content for social platforms, enhancing OETA’s digital presence, and building a follower base that reflects the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production (55% of time)
Lead creator for all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Design graphics and edit short‑to‑mid‑length vertical videos using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
Write compelling, platform‑specific captions and headlines aligned with OETA’s brand voice.
Oversee the entire production process from conception to final export, ensuring assets are optimized for each audience.
Planning & Coordination (30% of time)
Develop and maintain a comprehensive monthly social media calendar for consistent posting.
Collaborate with Programming, Education, and Membership departments to translate goals into creative campaigns.
Integrate social content with major station initiatives such as broadcast premieres, special events, and fundraising drives.
Platform Management & Engagement (10% of time)
Schedule and manually post content to maximize reach.
Engage with followers, answer questions, and foster a positive community environment.
Monitor social media trends and tools to keep content fresh and relevant.
Other Duties (5% of time) As Assigned.
Key Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience
3+ years of professional digital content creation, social media management, or multimedia production; portfolio required.
Expertise in short‑form vertical video production, including filming, lighting, and audio basics.
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) and Canva.
Deep understanding of native features and nuances of Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Core Competencies
Exceptional copywriting and editing, adaptable to educational, promotional, and community tones.
Strong graphic design sense for layout, typography, and brand consistency across static posts, carousels, and stories.
Project management experience with social media scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, etc.) and high‑volume editorial calendars.
Clear interpersonal communication to translate complex needs into engaging content.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
Passion for public media and OETA’s mission to provide educational programming.
Additional Information
Travel to events statewide as needed.
Occasional night and weekend events may be required.

Compensation
$40,000 to $45,000 per year with a generous benefits package that includes health, leave, retirement, and more.
