Lafayette College is hiring: Live Broadcast Director (Freelance) in College Hill

Operating proactively and collaboratively as part of Lafayette College’s Communications Division, the Athletic Communications Department serves to publicize and promote Lafayette through the College’s 23 NCAA Division I sports. Utilizing strategic public relations, marketing and communications efforts, Lafayette’s outstanding student-athletes are showcased for their incredible balance of athletic endeavors and academic pursuits.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Video Production Manager and the Video Production Assistant

Direct live broadcasts for ESPN+/Lafayette Sports Network

Manage a team of freelancers

Set up and breakdown equipment for broadcasts

Assist in continuing to curate a brand for Lafayette Athletics

Increasing non-gameday content to promote Lafayette’s mission and core values

Qualifications

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut X

Experience in Live Sport Productions

Experience with NewTek Products (Tricaster, 3 PLAY, NC I/O), and SimplyLive preferred but not required

Background/experience in post-production

Passion for college athletics

Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Knowledge of JVC Pro cameras, and filming live events

Preferred Knowledge of Canon cameras

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

Part-time position, Hours will vary by week and sports schedule. Single rate per game worked.
