This position is a one-year fixed term position. It is exempt from the hiring pause and has been deemed critical by the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability Dean’s Office. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Stanford is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa. The position is based on Stanford’s main campus with consideration for a hybrid work schedule (partially on‑site and off‑site), subject to operational need.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
Recommend and execute marketing strategies to meet strategic business objectives.
Collaborate with other communications professionals at Stanford to leverage content and coordinate strategies.
Develop and maintain communications activities and channels with Stanford colleagues.
Develop content strategy for Accelerator events.
Maintain accurate and compelling content on the Accelerator website and social media accounts.
Manage marketing plans and programs to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
Work with the Accelerator team and project teams to write, edit and schedule marketing communications. Implement integrated marketing communications and brand strategy across a variety of channels (digital and print).
Oversee design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment.
Conduct market research, including competitive benchmarking, and analyze campaign/program/service/event effectiveness to inform strategic marketing direction, product segmentation, and customer targeting.
Assess market opportunities and track market trends. Recommend marketing improvements based on findings.
Plan and execute events to support strategic objectives.
Manage vendors/consultants on specific projects.
Manage project/program budget(s) and coordinate invoice processing.
May oversee interns and other contingent staff; provide staff training.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Previous experience in product, program and/or services marketing.
Ability to drive cross‑functional groups toward a common goal.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels including digital and print.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

The expected pay range for this position is
$113,895 to $137,766
per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.

Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR) produces a wide range of editorial content for leaders of nonprofits, businesses, and governments around the world engaged in social innovation. Its goal is to provide a media platform for these leaders to share ideas, research, and experiences to advance the field of social innovation. SSIR operates like a small media company within Stanford University, producing a quarterly paid-subscription magazine; a website that publishes new articles, podcasts, and videos daily; webinars; conferences; foreign-language editions (Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean); and other content. Every year millions of people around the world read SSIR articles, listen to SSIR podcasts and webinars, and attend SSIR conferences. There are nine full-time employees at SSIR, five in editorial and four in publishing, as well as a number of part-time contract employees.
