Your New Role – Video Producer, The Arena with Kasie Hunt
CNN seeks a talented Video Producer to join the The Arena with Kasie Hunt team in Washington DC.

Your Role Accountabilities

The Video Producer is an integral member of a lean, tight-knit show staff, crafting the look of the show by generating impactful visual material for live segments, packages, and teases.

Proficiently screens media for the best visual elements and editorial sound bites, assisting in research, compilation, production and editing of pieces.

Runs tape out of the control room, works with editors on taped segments, and handles any changes for the show’s later runs.

Responsible for coordinating and ingesting video elements during breaking news.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a love for politics who can generate ideas for guests, questions and segments, and can handle an intense and stressful breaking‑news environment, turning elements around quickly and accurately in the control room.

May need to work weekends and/or extended hours due to breaking news.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of two years production experience in the news television industry.

Strong news judgment, written, verbal, interpersonal communication, research and production skills.

Strong writing skills; may be called upon to independently write television scripts.

Experience cutting show elements across network platforms is a plus.

Standard knowledge of show production.
