Production Technician I - Sumner, WA
The Production Technician I is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to maximize production and maintain KDP's high standards in safety and quality. This role will also be engaged in supporting improvements to the manufacturing process in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, productivity and growth.
This is a full time position on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Position responsibilities include maintaining a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times, understanding and helping drive improvement to quality systems and policies, learning to safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment, actively engaging in resolving production line issues, executing and developing standard work, tracking production data, participating in KDP's lean daily management process, actively learning and participating in formal problem-solving processes with team members, generating productivity and continuous improvement ideas, and demonstrating KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.
Pay starting at $24.66 per hour plus applicable shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $25.88 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift. Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions. Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
