Title: Production Technician I FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Production Floor Supervisor Scope: Ensure processes and procedures are properly followed for manufacturing of products made by Sable Systems. To produce the best product for both internal and external customers. Management Scope: N/A Responsibilities: Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists. Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. • Ability to have multiple assignments going at the same time. • Positions parts and subassemblies in a neat, orderly manner for each assignment. • Builds product to current documentation. Consults senior technicians when there are questions and/or concerns about the build. • Assembles assignments by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies together in proper sequence with correct hardware. • Verifies finalized product to specs and functionality before turning over to Quality Control. • Resolves assembly problems by verifying potential issues with a senior assembler and notifying the supervisor of any changes needed to the BOM or build guide. • Keeps all tools and other equipment in proper working condition and notifies supervisor of any damaged tools or equipment. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Helps maintain inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level when pulling parts for a build. If a part appears to be low, anticipates needed supplies and places orders for supplies. • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Avoids waste of time and materials. • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assignments and other tasks assigned as needed. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Skills and Competencies: • Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. • Must be able to follow directions, both written and verbal. • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills. • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea. • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills. • Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required. • Able to read basic diagrams and schematics. • Basic soldering skills. • Able to perform basic tests with a multimeter. • Able to use basic hand and power tools safely. • Able to stand and move between standing and sitting for long periods of time. • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds • Regularly perform repetitive tasks • Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus • Experience with ERP System, NetSuite, a plus. • Knowledge of ISO9001 standard and Quality Management System requirements, a plus. Education: • High School Diploma or GED • 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience may be required
