Prior Forensic photography experience and Adobe Photoshop experience preferred.
Pay Range
$28.55 - $42.85
Education / Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Three years of related photographic experience.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
Technical certification preferred.
Essential Functions
Performs photomicrography and photomacrography with bright field, dark field, phase contrast, and fluorescence.
Plans the composition of the photograph, analyzing the subject material and selecting the angle, lighting, and background to enhance desired or to eliminate unwanted features.
Provides technical guidance and instruction to members of the faculty and staff in medical photography techniques and procedures.
Develops film, makes prints, and produces slides from charts, books and slides to be used for teaching purposes.
Maintains files of photographs and processed film.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Skills / Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Competence in photographic operations demonstrated through professional portfolio.
Knowledge of photography techniques and proper use of equipment.
Strong computer skills.
Basic medical knowledge.
Ability to operate technological equipment and attention to detail.
Work Environment
Clean, comfortable office environment. May take photos in a laboratory setting. Exposure to biological materials and possibly bloodborne pathogens.
Physical Requirements
Activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Bending, Reaching with arms, Finger and hand dexterity, Talking, Hearing, Seeing. Lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling: 20 lbs. maximum, 50 lbs. maximum, 100 lbs. maximum.
