Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings (Berkshire Hathaway), is seeking a Painter for its railcar repair and maintenance operations across North America.
Job Description

Provide finished products based on customer specifications. Learn the trade through on‑the‑job training. Experienced painters should have knowledge of blast, paint, and spray foam insulation.
Responsibilities

Clean grease, dirt, rust, and old paint from equipment using solvent, water, rags, brushes, pneumatic wire brush, and chipping hammer.
Operate painting/blasting tools including paint guns, sanding tools, material blasters, grinding tools, and more.
Mix and apply uniform paint coatings according to customer and industry specifications.
Prepare equipment for painting and blasting restoration: tape, mask, mix paint, and match colors.
Inspect finished product for overall quality and follow established safety procedures.
Work around chemicals and fumes common to paint and body repair.
Lift up to 50 pounds as needed and perform tasks requiring climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
Pass a drug screen and physical examination.
Requirements

Willingness to learn a new trade through on‑the‑job training.
Knowledgeable in the use of painting/blasting equipment.
Ability to work safely around chemicals and fumes.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform ladder work.
Must pass a drug screen and physical.
Pay

$27.00 - $33.00 per hour.
