Role Description
The Google Ads Intern will support the planning, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns to increase online visibility and drive traffic to Edgewood Outfitters’ digital storefront. This is an internship role, based on‑site in Chesapeake, VA, working closely with the social media and marketing team to assist with keyword research, ad copy creation, audience targeting, and budget monitoring. Day‑to‑day tasks include reviewing campaign performance, compiling basic reports, making recommendations for improving click‑through and conversion rates, and helping maintain accurate tracking and analytics. The intern may also assist in coordinating ad creatives with current collections, promotions, and seasonal trends, and collaborate on new ideas to reach and engage the target audience.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Google Ads or other paid search platforms, including basic understanding of keywords, bidding, and campaign structure.

Candidates should possess analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to work with metrics from Google Analytics or similar tools to identify trends and opportunities.

Candidates should possess strong written communication skills for drafting clear, compelling ad copy aligned with brand voice and promotional objectives.

Candidates should possess basic digital marketing knowledge, including familiarity with e‑commerce, online customer journeys, and social media as part of an integrated marketing strategy.

Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to work on‑site in Chesapeake, VA, and current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in marketing, business, communications, advertising or a related field.
