Accounts Payable Director

Lead a critical function and transformational initiative at a growing organization.

Direct and mentor a team of AP professionals to drive operational excellence, accuracy, and compliance.

Collaborate closely with IT, Procurement, and external consultants to define project scope, requirements, timelines, and testing for system implementations.

Develop and maintain strong

internal controls

aligned with SOX and compliance standards.

Monitor and report on AP metrics and KPIs to senior leadership, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).

7+ years of progressive experience

in Accounts Payable, including

5+ years in a leadership role .

Proven experience implementing or leading

AP process improvements .

Strong working knowledge of

Oracle and OCR/workflow automation tools .

Expertise in end-to-end AP operations: 3-way matching, invoice approvals, disbursements, vendor management.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex

cross-functional projects

and system deployments.

Solid understanding of GAAP,

internal controls , and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX).

Excellent communication , leadership, and problem-solving skills.
