Description

Tyto Athene is seeking a Program Manager to lead a Unified Communications (UC) services program and a team of engineers and technicians supporting a mission-critical government customer in the National Capital Region. The Program Manager will oversee operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of the program and projects providing full lifecycle UC services, including current and future capabilities spanning audio visual, video conferencing, digital signage, internet protocol television, telephony, and chat services. The role includes program cost, schedule, performance, and cybersecurity oversight in support of the government customer. As the principal point of contact to government stakeholders, the Program Manager will manage fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources activities and serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, providing day-to-day technical and professional guidance and leadership.
Responsibilities

Apply Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK v7) and advanced scheduling techniques to ensure multiple, simultaneous, interconnected projects at disparate locations are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate Tyto and subcontractor teammates in delivering customer requirements.
Supervise program and project changes and upgrades in accordance with government requirements.
Oversee documentation of technical challenges and coordinate courses of action with stakeholders.
Provide program team leadership and overall responsibility for successful program management for the customer.
Serve as primary customer point of contact. Coordinate with the customer to ensure program objectives are aligned and executable; maintain close communication with the Government COR.
Resolve conflicts among the team and customer; align expectations and develop short- and long-term plans to guide the program to a successful conclusion.
Ensure the program team understands and has resources to meet contractual requirements (cost, technical, schedule) including performance, quality, and regulatory compliance; develop the program plan with the team and conduct regular program reviews to track performance against the plan.
Foster team development and leadership behaviors, sharing ownership for outcomes.
Provide program direction through all phases to meet cost and schedule objectives and address unplanned events with the team and customer.
Achieve operational objectives by planning and executing actions to improve production, productivity, quality, and customer service; identify, track, and manage risks; perform audits; drive continuous improvement.
Manage human resources objectives, including recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, performance reviews, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Maintain quality service by upholding Tyto Quality Management standards.
Translate customer mission and objectives into strategic goals and contribute to strategic planning; identify and pursue new business opportunities as appropriate.
Monitor practices to guide compliance and improvement strategies; use metrics to develop recommendations for change.
Organize and direct teams to address critical system failures and coordinate with other program and project managers to bring projects to completion.
Perform program management and oversight of UC team activities, including but not limited to the following tasks:
Coordinate AV hardware installation across multiple sites.
Coordinate AV fit-up in new and existing buildings.
Train government customers in proper use of UC systems.
Prepare operational guides and provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UC systems.
Assist users in accessing and using UC systems.
Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; implement configuration management processes and integrate scripts with build processes.
Conduct site surveys; review and approve project cost proposals; interpret drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with engineering personnel, customers, vendors, and others to gather requirements and create project plans; oversee AV project implementation.
Act as a backup equipment custodian and perform inventory asset management and accountability functions.
Develop and approve installation schedules based on equipment delivery, integration complexity, and customer priorities.
Qualifications

Required:
Ten (10) years of relevant program/project management experience involving IT and/or AV integration projects.
PMP Certification
Desired:
Experience with IT or AV projects and technologies such as Crestron, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams Room Systems, Cisco Video Conferencing, Haivision, Mass Notification, or Land Mobile Radio.
Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience with VTC/AV integration projects.
