Responsibilities

Oversee the efforts of the Academic Technology and Design team working closely with faculty and teaching assistants to design courses that take advantage of learning management systems, lecture capture systems, collaboration tools, and other academic technologies. Support face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, and executive education offerings, providing guidance in initial course design and retooling strategies to align with Quality Matters standards, ensure accessibility for all modalities of instruction, and meet applicable university policy and procedures.

Assist faculty in enrolling and troubleshooting issues with learning management systems, lecture capture systems, collaboration tools, and other academic technologies. Manage support tickets, design and maintain training materials (websites, job aids, tutorial videos, and blogs) and lead efforts to discover and promote new technologies that enhance student experience and efficiency.

Manage and coordinate the team’s production studio, assist in productions and shoots, and staff the production team to meet faculty recording and production demands. Continuously evaluate and implement new production technologies and techniques to expand capabilities and service across the college.

Maintain relationships with central university offices (e.g., Classroom Support, Office of Distance Learning) to stay abreast of technology updates and policies. Examine peer and aspirant institution operations and recommend new initiatives to college administration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in administrative services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of experience (a combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to eight years).

Requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years in instructional design, curriculum development, adult learning, or a related field.
