Operations Technician

Title: Operations Technician Company: CITGO Location: Corpus Christi, TX.

The CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery seeks Operations Technicians to join the team. The Operations Technician provides hands‑on expertise in Maintenance and Operations at the Corpus Christi Refinery. Duties involve twelve‑hour rotational shift work in refinery process units. Responsibilities include outside product processing equipment and operations in a variety of work units.

Responsibilities

Monitoring pressures, levels, flows, and temperatures using instrumentation and gauges.

Operating and performing basic maintenance for all refinery-related equipment.

Overall responsibility for worksite safety and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Petrochemical Technology Program or certificate in a local area where degree programs for PTech are offered.

Two‑year college degree in a related field or

Fiveyears of industry work experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Willingness to work a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Successful completion of a background check and medical exam.

Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card).

TWIC Eligibility Requirements:

The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who need unescorted access to regulated facilities to have a valid TWIC, issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates must be eligible for a TWIC to be considered.
