What You'll Do

Assess patients' physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews.
Evaluate gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health.
Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition to adjust care plans.
Communicate and document patients' physiologic health status and care plans.
Assess patients' psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements.
Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and establish individualized goals.
Formulate and document the plan of care, coordinating with health team members.
Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions are followed.
Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions.
Participate in patient and family education, evaluating the effectiveness of teaching.
Requirements

Education:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment and obtain a BSN degree within five (5) years of employment date.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
