Marketing CRM Strategist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provide enterprise-level governance and strategic ownership of SDFCU’s Marketing CRM ensuring the platform supports lifecycle marketing, personalization, and revenue-generating member engagement initiatives.

Architect, implement, operationalize, and continuously enhance onboarding, bulk, trigger, segmentation, and next-best-product campaigns that scale across channels and align with organizational goals.

Orchestrate, execute, govern and optimize marketing automation workflows to trigger personalized communications and drip campaigns based on member actions, preferences, and behaviors.

Analyze CRM data to develop member segments and create targeted marketing strategies for different member groups such as new members, inactive members, and highly engaged members across various demographics, lifestyles and personas.

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, bounce rates, and ROI.

Leverage data insights to continually optimize and refine marketing strategies for better outcomes.

Work closely with marketing, member services, lending, and product teams to develop targeted campaigns and member communications to align messaging and ensure integrated channels.

Serve as a strategic partner to the CRM Administrator and other technical stakeholders, translating marketing needs into CRM solutions that ensure strategies, system configuration, and campaign execution are aligned, transparent, and optimized.

Stay informed about industry trends, member needs, and competitor marketing strategies to develop relevant and innovative CRM-based campaigns.

Proactively seek training and networking opportunities to ensure optimal use of solutions.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience and exceptional understanding of a CRM marketing tool – preferably in the Credit Union or financial services industry.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading integrated campaigns and execution through digital and traditional channels; preferably for a financial institution or consumer‑driven environment.

Experience with digital advertising and social media tools highly desired.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign).

Exceptional writing and communication skills.

Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external vendors.

Analytical mindset for assessing the effectiveness of campaigns and channels.

Familiarity with industry trends and an eagerness to innovate and adapt.

Comfortable on both Mac and PC platforms.
