Dow Jones, a leading provider of business information, is hiring a reporter for Barr’s Newsroom in New York City.

Location: 1211 Ave of the Americas, NYC (office-based, 3 days a week, early start).

About the Role
A fast, accurate reporter and writer who provides insights into the biggest stories of the day, primarily U.S. equities. Must deliver timely analysis and interesting angles, avoid clickbait, and write longer, deeply reported features and analytical pieces.

Responsibilities

Generate quick angles and strong ideas from news and meet urgent deadlines.

Possess familiarity with corporate balance sheets, financial valuations, and investment principles.

Write earnings reports, market commentary, and newsletter posts.

Reflect familiarity with U.S. markets and companies.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a reporter at a national or trade business news publication.

Collaborative, diplomatic approach with confidence making fast, well‑thought‑out decisions.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and a knack for writing snappy headlines and ledes.

Clean, accurate deadline writer.

Role requires early start and office presence at least 3 days a week.

Compensation
Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000, with potential bonus-eligible components based on market benchmarks and individual contributions.
