We're working with a well-established, privately held specialty chemical distributor that sources, warehouses, and delivers specialty chemicals internationally. The company works closely with manufacturers to match the right products to their customers' needs across a range of specific end markets.
This is a newly created role, driven by growing business and the need for someone to help manage that growth. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment alongside a small team where good ideas and initiative get noticed.
What You'll Do
Research and develop new product opportunities the company is bringing to market, including generating interest through proactive outreach and cold calling
Help build out new market segments as the company expands its specialty chemical portfolio
Work collaboratively with the team on account management; this is not a house-accounts, commission-driven role, but a salary-based position with a share in the company's success
Partner closely with company leadership, who are directly involved in sales strategy
What We're Looking For
A strong aptitude for and interest in the chemical industry
Prior office/business experience, with strong written communication skills
Ability to work in-office in the NY Tri-state area
Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, close-quarters work environment
Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience, with a company performance bonus
Healthcare with a 70/30 employer-employee split
401(k) with 3% company contribution after 3 months
