Providing weekend coverage, the Freelance Social Media Specialist will manage and engage with Newsweek's social media channels remotely for a three-month assignment, ensuring timely content delivery and audience interaction from 8:00 am ET to 7:00 pm ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
Post and manage content across various social media platforms while collaborating with the editorial team
Monitor audience engagement and respond to comments to foster community interaction
Track content performance and provide insights to enhance weekend social media strategy
Required Qualifications:
Prior experience managing social media accounts for a brand, publication, or organization
Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and best practices
Ability to work independently and make quick editorial judgments
Weekend availability is required
