Responsibilities
Responsible for full‑cycle recruitment.
Compile and maintain employee records including confidential and sensitive employee information.
Complete background checks for all employees.
Lead open enrollment and oversee benefit packages.
Analyze workforce data, staffing trends, employee relations issues, and organizational needs and develop recommendations supporting district goals and operational effectiveness.
Guide instructional staff through the New York State certification process.
Monitor compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulations, reporting requirements, Board policies, and administrative procedures.
Assist with implementation of wellness programs, benefits programs, employee engagement initiatives, and analyzing HR analytics.
Assist with compliance‑related matters.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Chief Talent Officer.
Skills & Qualifications
Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program (required), with prior experience in a charter school environment (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources or Recruitment experience.
Highly ethical professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. CPS offers a comprehensive benefits package. This is a twelve‑month, full‑time, exempt position.
Weekend or evening work and travel is required.
