Position Overview
TrueTimber Outdoors is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fashion, a keen eye for design, and a deep understanding of current trends in apparel graphics. The Apparel Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating graphic designs for various apparel products, including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and other garments.
Responsibilities
Create and develop original graphic designs for apparel products that align with brand identity and target audience.
Collaborate with the design team to create cohesive collections.
Create mockups and present design concepts for feedback and approval.
Research current trends in apparel graphics, color palettes, and printing techniques to stay ahead of the curve.
Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are executed accurately and meet quality standards.
Prepare artwork files for printing, including color separations and file formatting.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Maintain organized files and documentation for all design projects.
Keep abreast of industry developments and continuously seek opportunities to enhance design skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Degree or 4+ years in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
Proven experience as an Apparel Graphic Designer or similar role; experience within the outdoor industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in design execution.
Portfolio showcasing a range of apparel graphic design projects.
Knowledge of printing processes is a plus.
Must understand art placement and sizing.
