Job Description

Ciklum

is looking for a

Senior Asset/Graphic Designer

to join our team full-time in Slovakia.
We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.
About the role:

As a versatile Senior Asset/Graphic Designer, become a part of a cross-functional development team to bring our mobile interactive digital experiences to life. In this role, you won't just be making standalone art; you will be creating the visual engine of our project—building everything from concept sketches and user interface elements to fully textured 3D environments and optimized assets.
The ideal candidate loves jumping between the 2D and 3D worlds and understands how to balance beautiful aesthetics with the technical constraints of real-time rendering.
Responsibilities:

Asset Creation: Design, model, and texture high-quality 2D and 3D assets (characters, props, environments, and UI elements) tailored for game-like environments
Concept to Execution: Translate loose briefs and wireframes into polished, interactive-ready visual styles
Optimization: Ensure all assets are highly optimized for real-time performance across mobile platforms (poly-count budget, texture atlasing, and clean topology)
Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product designers to ensure assets integrate seamlessly into the interactive framework or game engine
Requirements:

The Toolkit: Proficiency in 3D software (Blender, Maya, C4D or similar) and 2D creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Procreate or similar)
Style Adaptability: A portfolio demonstrating a strong grasp of lighting, composition, color theory, and the ability to work in varied art styles (from stylized/low-poly to realistic)
Engine Familiarity: Basic understanding of how assets function inside real-time engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, or web-based libraries like Three.js/PlayCanvas) is a huge plus
Problem Solver: An understanding of low-poly modeling (creating 3D models with a lower number of polygons to ensure smooth performance) and efficient UV mapping
What's in it for you?

Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door culture that values initiative and empowers its people to succeed
Fast-paced & agile environment: Be part of a dynamic, fast-moving organization that champions efficiency and innovation
Global exposure: Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams and contribute to large-scale initiatives
Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications
Flexibility: Balance office and remote work to fit your rhythm
Care: Take advantage of our extensive benefits offering, aligned with the best market standards
The salary starts at 2900 Euro gross. The final salary depends on the candidate's previous experience and professional knowledge.
