Social Media Coordinator - Berklee College of Music

We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Coordinator to support our Instagram presence. This role is ideal for a Berklee student who enjoys content creation, social media trends, photography, videography, and storytelling. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging Instagram content that aligns with the Berklee Hospitality brand and community initiatives. Must be a current Berklee College of Music student to apply.
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $17.00. Job Responsibilities:
Create and publish two Instagram content pieces per week, including: Reels, Carousel posts, Stories, Graphics or other approved content formats.
Capture photo and video content as needed.
Develop creative content ideas that engage our audience and support organizational goals.
Write compelling captions and assist with hashtag selection.
Maintain a content calendar and ensure timely posting.
Monitor engagement and provide basic performance insights when requested.
Stay informed about Instagram trends and recommend new content ideas.
Collaborate with team members to gather content and promote programs, events, and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current Berklee College of Music student in good standing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with Instagram and current social media trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous social media content creation experience.
Experience creating Instagram Reels, Stories, and carousel posts.
Basic photography, videography, and video editing skills.
Experience with Canva, Instagram Edits, CapCut, or similar content creation tools.
