In particular, we are seeking an experienced Public Affairs Specialist (Level III) to primarily support our program.

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Specialist III to support communications and public affairs efforts for government programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that effectively convey mission priorities across internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator with experience in federal or DoD environments, capable of producing high-quality content across multiple platforms while supporting leadership engagement, community relations, and digital media strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic communications plans aligned with program and organizational objectives
Create high-quality written content across multiple mediums, including: Articles and press releases
Fact sheets and briefing materials
Executive correspondence and messaging
Speech writing and leadership communications

Collaborate with creative teams to produce visual communications products supporting headquarters and program-level initiatives
Serve as a peer reviewer for communications products to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Lead community relations efforts, including planning and execution of outreach initiatives
Manage and oversee digital and social media platforms, including: Content planning and development
Publishing and posting
Performance tracking and analytics assessment

Utilize social media analytics tools to evaluate engagement and optimize content strategies
Support development of communication materials for senior leadership and Program/Product Managers
Manage and track communications-related taskers and deliverables
Operate effectively under tight deadlines and short suspense requirements
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience in public affairs, public relations, or a related field OR 10 years of relevant military service in a related field

Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications strategies
Proven experience publishing written materials such as press releases, articles, and official communications
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Experience managing digital and social media platforms, including analytics tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmen
Preferred Qualifications DINFOS accreditation or similar professional certification
Portfolio of published articles or communications products
Experience supporting DoD, Army, or Intelligence Community organizations
Familiarity with tools such as: SharePoint
PowerPoint
Adobe Creative Suite
Canva or similar content creation platforms

Experience supporting senior leadership communications and high-visibility initiatives

Salary is commensurate with experience. An estimated salary range for this requisition is: $75-110k. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
