Seeking Engineering Technical Writers to create and maintain documentation for advanced sensor and defense systems.

Responsibilities

Write and edit technical documents (manuals, TRDs, specifications)

Review content for accuracy and clarity

Prepare illustrations (charts, diagrams, drawings)

Publish documentation in formats such as HTML, XML, and SGML

Collaborate with engineers and team members

Perform desktop publishing and research technical data

Ensure compliance with technical writing standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or relevant military experience

Experience with technical systems (radar, communications, or similar)

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Excellent organization and multitasking abilities

Strong communication skills

Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years technical writing experience

Experience with Arbortext, MadCap Flare, or FrameMaker

Knowledge of XML, SGML, HTML, S1000D, or DITA

Familiarity with ASD-STE100

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD. It is a fully onsite role.

Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
