We are looking for a talented PHP Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team and contribute to the development of enterprise‑grade applications and digital platforms.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and business‑critical applications using PHP and modern development frameworks

Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrations that support complex digital ecosystems

Collaborate closely with software engineers, solution architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Contribute to application architecture, technical design discussions, and continuous platform improvements

Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards and best practices

Support the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of applications across development and production environments

Contribute to Agile delivery teams and actively participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical workshops

Explore and leverage modern AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery efficiency

Your Profile

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

3+ years of professional experience as a backend developer

Proficiency in modern PHP (8.x) and Symfony

Familiarity with MySQL / MariaDB

Solid knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows

Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar)

Strong background building and consuming REST APIs

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

Exposure to Elasticsearch / OpenSearch

Familiarity with Docker / DDEV

Understanding of Shopware e‑commerce platform

German language skills
