Job Description Summary
You will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives for HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators) and associated scope.

You will integrate and develop the best engineering solutions to meet customer requirements and business needs and be involved in long‑term planning with EAE (Equipment Application Engineering) Resources managers across America region.

You will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long‑term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

Be responsible for the technical content of proposals for GE Combined Cycle power plant configuration, working with the Commercial Operations, Product Engineering and Product Management teams to win profitable projects for GE Vernova

Perform most assignments independently, requiring guidance only on unusual or complex problems

Work closely with cross‑functional teams on the introduction of new NPI features and products to increase HRSG product competitiveness

Provide oversight, direction, and routine surveillance to ensure the global HRSG AE (HRSG Application Engineering) team success and quality of proposals

Lead the ITO (inquire to order) related interactions with pre‑ITO, Product Line, Product Engineering, OTR (order to remittance) teams and global HRSG AE team

Partner with the EAE resource managers in the development of the HRSG AEs and provide feedback

Assist the EAE resource managers with distribution of proposal workload by maintaining awareness of the strengths and capabilities of the team members globally

Define proposal strategy related to HRSG and associated equipment on complex and large projects

Establish and provide technical training and development for the global HRSG AE team

Be a technical mentor to less experienced engineer(s)

Lead the process, tools & methods improvement to drive quality and productivity across the global HRSG AE team

Use knowledge and expertise to market winning proposals in anticipation of business product needs

Provide technical review, comments and consultation to Customers and internal GE team on HRSG and associated scope

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience

Significant experience in design engineering and/or application engineering, +10 years experiences in Equipment Application Engineering and +5 years of experiences in HRSG

Significant experience working with customers on combined cycle power projects

Significant experience in HRSG value creation for HRSG Performance/Design optimization, HRSG Cost‑out program, ITO Process/Tools improvement, Quoting Limit, Product Structuring, Carbon capture NPI program, etc.

Proven interaction and relationship with Customers in NAM

Excellent communication and presentation skills being exposed to more site-oriented operations such as HRSG erection and maintenance in front of Customers.

Desired Characteristics

Commercial Operations, Application Engineering, and Requisition Engineering processes between New Product Introduction, Inquiry to Order and Order to Requisition

HRSG Inquiry to Order or Order to Requisition

Heat balance diagrams/HRSG thermal design and ability to size/optimize HRSG

Design of HRSGs and associated equipment for Combined Cycle Power Plants

Understand technical requirements for Combined Cycle Plants, HRSGs and associated equipment

Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business

Problem analysis and resolution skills

Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in HRSGs, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within this field both internally and externally

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
