IBM WebSphere MQSeries (MQ) Infrastructure Engineering

Location:

Southfield, MI

Duration:

Top 3 Skills

Experience automating, configuring, installing MQ or other middleware

Experience using monitoring tools to configure MQ e.g., Tivoli

Technical Skills

Experience in installation and configuration of MQ or similar middleware products on Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows Server and AS/400.

Experience in automating the install/config of MQ or similar middleware products, using Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows Server scripts.

Nice to have technical skills

Experience in the development of applications that use MQ, using the standard MQ APIs (Connect, Open, Put, Get).

Experience using Tivoli-Omegamon or similar enterprise monitoring tools, preferably to monitor and configure MQ.

Other Skills

A do‑whatever‑it‑takes attitude and work ethic.

A strong desire to continually deepen MQ expertise.

A strong desire to learn all tangential technologies and processes involved with supporting MQ at Ford.

A strong team player and a desire to mentor and train less experienced team members.
