Job Summary / Description
We are seeking a creative videojournalist to join our award‑winning news team. The successful candidate will shoot, write, and edit stories for newscasts, operate live equipment for our morning reporter, and be able to adapt to new technology. Knowledge of drones or the ability to train as a station drone operator is preferred, with FAA credentials to be obtained if required. This is an on‑site, non‑on‑air position that requires independent story coverage and a willingness to contribute news ideas and assist with a variety of assignments.

Duties / Responsibilities

Strong videography, editing, and technical skills.

Willingness to train and be certified to fly a station drone for broadcast use.

Write content as needed under the supervision of producers or management.

Work independently, sending content back to the station and handling multiple assignments.

Fill in as an editor, assistant producer, or in any other capacity as needed.

Possess a general understanding of news across all platforms.

Qualifications / Requirements

B.A./B.S. in Broadcast Journalism or a related field (preferred but not required).

Prior professional experience in news media (preferred but not required).

Ability to work effectively under deadlines and in breaking‑news situations.

Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction from others.

Flexibility to work a schedule that includes early morning hours and on‑call duties.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
